After weeks of late nights, early mornings, and lots of empty bottles (mostly Poland Spring), I've finally finished up a big writing project. But more about that later ;)

One of the consequences of working on my laptop for so long is that I've been out of touch with what is going on in the world of literature. So to make amends I read four books to catch up. I studied the latest in economic theory (Freakonomics), thrilled to the exploits of a fictional assassin (Hard Rain), experienced a classic American novel (On the Road), and perhaps most challenging of all, tried to understand just what makes second graders tick (Captain Underpants).
