It was wrong to commit the crime, if indeed he did...but just think, what if he succeeded in cloning the beast? I wonder if we'll see these things once again walk the Earth. It's strange to think that mammoths aren't really all that prehistoric, a subgroup died out on an island off Siberia only 4,000 years ago, during the time of the Egyptian pharoahs.

I'm digging Netflix. No more video late fees and all that nonsense. Just gimmee the DVDs and give me time to watch them. Lately I've enjoyed watching School of Rock, Body Heat, and Anger Management. My queue is jam packed with tons of movies I've never seen. Plenty of stuff to burn out my DVD player.

New York twister, blown up train, Italians win a soccer game
Syd Barrett, Path plot, exploding building, psycho doc

Head butt, Pirates back, combat continues in Iraq
Big Dig, Cheney mocked, Christie's marriage on the rocks

We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
Will it still burn on, and on, and on, and on...

Saw the new Pirates last night. Loved it. It is turning out to be a big hit so the complaints of the critics are being drowned out, but as a public service I will attempt to address some of them.

It is too long. OK, maybe if you are a movie critic pressed for time to catch the next film, the 2-and-a -half-hour run time might be a bit of an inconvenience, but if you are like me, and the last movie you saw in the theater was Batman Begins in 2005, then an extra 20 minutes of giant squid attacks is not really a big deal.

Jack Sparrow acts the same way he did in the last one. Uhhhhh-----we liked Jack Sparrow in the last one, that is why we want to see the sequel. What was the question again?

There is too much going on, I don't get it. Hmmm some of us like lots of action and adventure and unexpected plot twists. But maybe we're weird that way.

There isn't an "agenda" or "message." OK, so then go rent Brokeback or Syriana (eyeroll).
